The Ultimate Three-Question Survey (general salvation)

The Ultimate Three-
Question Survey

1) WHERE WILL YOU
BE five seconds after you
die? Five years? Five
eons? Or, do you believe
that you will either never
die or just simply vanish
into thin-air? (Really?)
2) WHY DID YOU
ANSWER question (1) as
you did?
3) ARE YOU SURE
about your answer to
question (2)?

If your answer to question (1)
was, "I don't know.", "Never
thought about it.", "Certainly
not in Heaven!", or "No one
can know that for sure."...I
submit to you that you can
know for sure where you will
be and how to change it if you
would like to BEFORE IT'S
TOO LATE.

The Bible says in 1 John 5:13,
"These things I have written to
you who believe in the name of
the Son of God, that you may
know that you have eternal
life." Let's take a look at "these
things". That way, YOU can
know, too!

The first thing we all already
know...although many try to act
as it it's not true for them. We
have each...every single one of
us...messed up. We have all
done something we knew was
'wrong', or failed to do
something we knew to be
'right'. The Bible calls this 'sin',
and says in Romans 3:23, "All
have sinned and come short of
the glory of GOD."

GOD...who owns and runs the
whole show...has placed a

penalty on sin. Ezekiel 18:4
states, "The soul who sins
shall die.", and in verse 18 of
that same chapter, "Behold, he
shall die for his iniquity." Even
though GOD dictated the death
penalty for sin, He is still not
out to get anyone. GOD
further states in verse 32, "I
have no pleasure in the death
of one who dies. Therefore,
turn and live!”

Turn to what, turn to who, or to
where...you ask? John 3:16
has the answer, "For GOD so
loved the world that He gave
His only begotten Son, that
whoever believes in Him shall
not perish but have everlasting
life.". Matthew 3:16-17 tells us
that JESUS is GOD's Son:

   When He had been baptized,
   Jesus came up immediately
   from the water; and behold,
   the heavens were opened to

Him, and He saw the Spirit of
   God descending like a dove
   and alighting upon Him. And
   suddenly a voice came from
   heaven, saying, "This is My
beloved Son, in whom I am
   well pleased."

What about belief in another
person or religious figure? In
John 14:6, JESUS states, "I
am the way, the truth, and the
life. No one comes to the
Father except through Me."

But, what about all the good
things I've done? In
Isaiah 64:6, GOD tells us that,
"All our righteousnesses are
like filthy rags." So much for
our good out-weighing our bad!

What is the alternative to
"eternal life"? Matthew 25:46,
"...[the wicked] will go away
into everlasting punishment,
but the righteous into eternal
life.” Not a good alternative!!!

OK...I want to have eternal
life! How do I get it?

Acts 3:19 states, "Repent
therefore and be converted,
that your sins may be blotted
out." Acts 16:31 says, "Believe
on the Lord Jesus Christ, and
you will be saved."

So...to have eternal life, all you
need to do is repent and
believe. 'Repent' means to
make an about-face...to decide
that you no longer want to be
controlled by sin and receive
the "eternal punishment" that
comes with it. Repent...turn
from sin to JESUS. Tell
JESUS that is what you
want...and He will do the rest!
Just tell JESUS...in your heart
or, better yet, out loud:

Dear JESUS, I am today
turning from my life of sin,
which is sending me to eternal
punishment. I am turning to

you for eternal life. Please,
come into my heart and change
me from the inside out to make
me into the kind of person you
want me to be. I give you full
reign to change anything and
everything about me that needs
changing. I surrender my life
and my will to you, and to you
alone. Be my LORD! I place
my full and complete trust in
YOU to save me as you say
that you will do. Amen!

If you just prayed the above to
JESUS -- and meant it -- you
now have eternal life. You are
now a Christian...welcome to
GOD's family! You quickly
need to find other Christians
who can help you to grow.

LORD, Please Heal Our Land! (revival)

LORD, Please
Heal Our Land!

Almost as familiar as John
3:16, "For God so loved the
world, that he gave his only
begotten Son, that whosoever
believeth in him should not
perish, but have everlasting
life.", is 2 Chronicles 7:14, "If
my people, which are called by
my name, shall humble
themselves, and pray, and
seek my face, and turn from
their wicked ways; then will I
hear from heaven, and will
forgive their sin, and will heal
their land." When we in The
Church get a grip around the
second verse, GOD will take
care of the first verse. Many of
our hearts cry out with the
Psalmist in Psalm 119:126, "It
is time for you to act, Lord;
your law is being broken."
John 3:16 is for the evangelist,
people like Billy Graham, who
go about winning souls to
Christ. 2 Chronicles 7:14 is for
we who already believe. True
revival is not getting together
under a tent for a special
series of messages about
rekindling the fire. True revival
is not feeling all a-tingle over a
great worship experience.

Let's change-up the verse just
a little to see what GOD says
about True Revival:

If I will humble myself, and
   pray, and seek His face,
   and turn from my wicked
   ways
; then will He hear from
   heaven, and will forgive my
   sin
, and will heal my land.

GOD tells us in 1 Corinthians
11:31, "For if we would judge
ourselves, we should not be
judged." He doesn't tell us to
go around judging everyone

else. In fact, He asks in
Romans 14:4, "Who art thou
that judgest another man's
servant?"

True revival only comes after
repentance, and repenting is
an individual matter. A person
may repent in a group setting,
after hearing a message and
being convicted by the Holy
Spirit that the message
pertains to him. But, a person
can only repent for himself or
herself. JESUS was the only
person to live on this Earth
who could in any way atone for
another. I wish that I could
repent for you...and wish even
more that you could repent for
me (maybe I could then go on
in my sin?), but that is not how
it works.

1 Corinthians 11:28-31 says,
"Everyone ought to examine
themselves ... if we were more

discerning with regard to
ourselves, we would not come
under such judgment."

The history of revival is clear:
when GOD's Church -- as
individuals -- forsake their own
sin, then GOD lights a fire of
evangelism in the land, with
many coming to Christ in True
Conversion. Then, without the
need to change laws, sin flees
from the land and the righteous
get to live in peace.

SO, BEGIN WITH YOURSELF
and be the spark that ignites a
fire of revival across this land.
Ask the Father, in the Name of
JESUS, to ask the Holy Spirit
to show you your own sin and
give you the will and strength
to forsake it. He will do that.
Then, listen and act on what
the Holy Spirit says to you.
You may seem to be the only
one...but not for long!

I'm not a Christian, how do I
become one?
Acts 3:19
states, "Repent therefore and
be converted, that your sins
may be blotted out."
Acts 16:31 says, "Believe on
the Lord Jesus Christ, and you
will be saved."

So...to have eternal life, all you
need to do is repent and
believe. 'Repent' means to
make an about-face...to decide
that you no longer want to be
controlled by sin and receive
the "eternal punishment" that
comes with it. Repent...turn

GOD Hates Loves Fags! (sin/salvation/confession)

GOD Hates
Loves Fags!

..And Any Other Kind Of
Sinner Who Will Repent.

The Westboro Baptist gang of
thugs say they speak for GOD
when they march around with
their signs and chants railing
against homosexuals. GOD
hates ANY KIND OF SIN...be it
homosexuality, divorce, lying,
adultery, gluttony, back-biting,
stealing, gossip, being a busy-
body, murder, ingratitude,...

In John 14:15,21, John 15:10,
and 1 John 5:3, the Bible says
that those who truly love GOD
are those who do as He says.
In Ephesians 4:15, we’re told
to “speak the truth in love”.
The vile rantings coming out of
Westboro cannot be mistaken
for “the truth in love”. Since

they are not keeping GOD’s
commandments, one can only
assume that they are, in fact,
hypocrites who do not love
GOD...which makes them a
modern-day Antichrist!

GOD does indeed hate sin.
BUT...GOD does not hate the
sinner who has repented—or
who will yet repent—of his or
her sins...be they one of these
listed herein or one of a million
others not listed. The Bible
does seem to say that GOD
considers some sins to be
worse than others. But, the
Bible also says that ANY sin
will keep YOU out of Heaven,

You may not be a homosexual,
a murderer, or an extortionist.
You’re just a “little” sinner—but
you ARE a sinner nonetheless!
So...assuming that you would
rather go to Heaven when you
die (instead of elsewhere), how

do you take care of the sin that
will keep you out of Heaven? I
am so glad you asked!

As you already know about
yourself, the Bible says in
Romans 3:23 that “All have
sinned and come short of the
glory of GOD.” Me too. GOD,
being all-supreme, has set a
penalty on sin. Romans 6:23
says, “The wages of sin is
death...” This tells us that
when we go to work sinning,
we shall not labor in vain...but
are to be paid for our work.
GOD is not a cheat!

But, there is good news which
comes after the “...”, because c
the last part of Romans 6:23
says, “...but, the gift of GOD is
eternal life through JESUS
Christ our LORD.” GOD is
just...and sin demands justice.

2000 years ago, GOD chose to
meet out that justice due each

of us by having JESUS die on
that cross in the place of
whomever would accept the
placing of their justly-deserved
death on Him who was without
sin and therefore did not earn
death for Himself. Either YOU
pay or JESUS pays. There is
no other way, for John 14:6
says, “Jesus said to him, `I am
the way. I am the truth. I give
life. No one can come to my
Father unless I take him
there.’” Letting JESUS “take
[you] there” is the essence of
becoming a Christian.

If you decide to refuse JESUS,
you are then left with the
“default” choice, specified in
Revelation 20:15, which says,
“And whosoever was not found
written in the book of life was
cast into the lake of fire.”—to
be, according to verse 10,
“...tormented day and night for

ever and ever.” Yikes!

I'm not a Christian, how do I
become one?
Acts 3:19
states, "Repent therefore and
be converted, that your sins

Acts 16:31 says, "Believe on

Pride Sin I You World (sin/salvation/confession)

PRIDE
SIN
I
YOU
WORLD

Self Help 101

Can you spot in the cute little
word-puzzle above the source
of many, if not most, of your
life’s problems? At the root of
most divorces, estranged kids,
time in prison, loss of friends,
dissatisfaction with GOD, loss
of a job, cruelty to animals,
etc., is that one uber-alles
triumvirate which we each too
often allow to rule and reign in
our lives. Yes...I am speaking
of the evil ol’ selfish Mad King
of Me, Myself, and I.

This Mad King rules and reigns
in each of our lives because it

is a part of being human...
driving each one of us and
without exception to form an
alliance with a power greater
than ourselves...i.e., the “god
shaped vacuum” attributed to
Blaise Pascal.

When the Mad King rules, he
prompts you to cheat on your
spouse and to also be
unforgiving if your spouse‘s
Mad King should prompt
cheating on their part. The
Mad King delights in placing
walls between parents and
children...and in demanding
that “the other” should make
the first move to reconciliation.

The Mad King drives each of
us to do bad things to not only
our selves, but also to other
people, to animals, and to the
very ground we walk on.

Oh yes...one more thing...the
Mad King hates the True And

Good King...who is none other
than GOD...and who is calling
on you to either “switch your
kingdom” or to return to Him.

My dear Christian brother or
sister...please...now is the time
for you to exercise 1 John 1:9.
“If we confess our sins, He is
faithful and just to forgive us
our sins and to cleanse us
from all unrighteousness.”
Stop reading this and DO IT
NOW!!! You need to know
nothing more.

But...I'm not a Christian.
Well then, this means that you
have never pushed your Mad
King from his throne. You are
therefore still at-odds with the
True And Good King. GOD
has decreed that, in the end,
the Mad King will die...and you
with him. Just one little sin will
keep YOU out of Heaven. I
know that’s not what you want!

2000 years ago, GOD chose to

Why Do Bad Things Happen To Good People? (suffering/unfairness in life)

Why Do
Bad Things
Happen To
Good People?
The truth of the matter is that
bad things do not happen to
good people...because there
aren’t any! The Bible says in
Psalm 14:1-3, “They are
corrupt, they have done
abominable works, there is
none that doeth good. The
Lord looked down from heaven
upon the children of men, to
see if there were any that did
understand, and seek God.
They are all gone aside, they
are all together become filthy:
there is none that doeth good,
no, not one.” Ouch!

You already know this about
yourself and everyone else you
know. Did anyone ever need

to teach you or me to lie or
steal, to smack our brother or
sister as we yelled, “Mine!”, or
to give lip-service to authority?
No. Never! How much
training have we had in “being
good”—and to what effect?

But, what about “real” bad
people...all those low-lifes who
aren’t “good” like you and me
but who still seem to have it all
—and none of the problems
that we have? Seems that, as
the Billy Joel song states, “only
the good die young.” This is
addressed in Psalm 1:4-6,
“The ungodly are not so: but
are like the chaff which the
wind driveth away. Therefore
the ungodly shall not stand in
the judgment, nor sinners in
the congregation of the
righteous. For the Lord
knoweth the way of the
righteous: but the way of the

ungodly shall perish.”

Yes indeed...you and I...we are
both “gooder” than everyone
else we know! But, the Bible
says in Romans 3:23 that “All
have sinned and come short of
the glory of GOD.” Me too.
GOD, being all-supreme, has
set a penalty on sin.

Why Do Bad Things Happen To GOD's People? (suffering/unfairness in life)

Why Do
Bad Things
Happen To
GOD's People?
This is perhaps in today’s USA
a harder question to answer
than why it is that bad things
happen to good people.
People often hear that all they
need do is to “Come to Christ”,
or that if they will just “Accept
JESUS”—life will from here on
out be a bed of roses of the
riches of GOD supplying all
their needs. So, they come
forth to “profess JESUS”—and
reality soon seems to say
otherwise...

And...how shall we account for
all the Christians being tortured
and killed in many places
throughout our world? Are we
who here sit fat and happy in

the Good Ol’ U.S. of A.
somehow better than they?
Hardly. Many heathen peoples
may have of late become more
righteous than us!

JESUS Himself told us in
John 16:33, “In the world ye
shall have tribulation: but be of
good cheer; I have overcome
the world.” And, speaking in
Matthew 5:45, He said, “...for
[your Father which is in
heaven] maketh his sun to rise
on the evil and on the good,
and sendeth rain on the just
and on the unjust.”

Backing up to verse 44 and
concluding with the first portion
of verse 45, we find JESUS
telling us, “But I say unto you,
Love your enemies, bless them
that curse you, do good to
them that hate you, and pray
for them which despitefully use
you, and persecute you; That

ye may be the children of your
Father which is in heaven.”
And what shall we say to
JESUS’ words in John 15:20,
“The servant is not greater
than his lord. If they have
persecuted me, they will also
persecute you; if they have
kept my saying, they will keep
yours also.” JESUS taught us
beginning with Luke 14:26 that
we should count the cost of
signing-on to be a Christian.
Yet...this is rarely heard today!

Consider the Parable of The
Sower from Mark 4. Is it any
wonder that those who once
professed to being a Christian
are far from Christ after
troubles set in or they go off to
college and receive ridicule?
Do we leave our children and
other disciples GOD gives us
unlearned in The Word and
therefore defenseless to Satan

like those “seed” spoken of in
verse 15? Or, do we neglect to
relentlessly train and drill them
for battle—thus leaving them
unprepared for the fight when it
comes—and they end up like
the “seed” that turns tail and
runs, as in verses 16-17?

Or, maybe we say one thing
but show people by our
example that GOD is not really
all that important to us. And,
just like us...our children and
disciples end up like the “seed”
in verses 18-19 who live
leaving JESUS out of their
day-to-day lives—but are quick
to call for the Pastor to drop
everything and come running
to our aid and comfort when
“life” interrupts things.

Are you of the “seed” from
verse 20 which landed on the
good ground of your heart—
and without willful sin? Then,

it’s just that GOD is sovereign.

I'm not a Christian, how do I
become one?
Acts 3:19
states, "Repent therefore and
be converted, that your sins
may be blotted out."
Acts 16:31 says, "Believe on
the Lord Jesus Christ, and you
will be saved."

So...to have eternal life, all you
need to do is repent and
believe. 'Repent' means to
make an about-face...to decide
that you no longer want to be
controlled by sin and receive
the "eternal punishment" that
comes with it. Repent...turn
from sin to JESUS. Tell
JESUS that is what you
want...and He will do the rest!
Just tell JESUS...in your heart
or, better yet, out loud:

Dear JESUS, I am today
turning from my life of sin,
which is sending me to eternal

punishment. I am turning to
you for eternal life. Please,
come into my heart and change
me from the inside out to make
me into the kind of person you
want me to be. I give you full
reign to change anything and
everything about me that needs
changing. I surrender my life
and my will to you, and to you
alone. Be my LORD! I place
my full and complete trust in
YOU to save me as you say
that you will do. Amen!

If you just prayed the above to
JESUS -- and meant it -- you
now have eternal life. You are
now a Christian...welcome to
GOD's family! You quickly
need to find other Christians
who can help you to grow.

Do Americans Need A King? (revival/rebellious-heart)

Do Americans
Need A King?
We here in the good ol’ U. S.
of A. take much pride in having
self-rule. In 1776, we threw off
the old order of things in which
there was a single person or
family who we let fight our
battles, feed us, and make us
feel secure. And, as long as
they don’t get too out of hand
with running our lives...we’re
happy to let them continue to
do so. We even come to like
and “appreciate” them for “all
they do for us”. Ask most any
Londoner about the Queen...or
most any modern American
about the government.

When a person becomes a
Christian, there is to be a
transfer of ultimate relationship
and allegiance from the Earthly
kingdom to the Heavenly

kingdom. For most peoples of
the Earth, this making Christ to
be their lord and master is
merely an extension of the
natural order of things. Not so
for we “no king” Americans.

Whether we agree with their
advice or not, we Americans
simply don’t like for anyone to
tell us what to do...including
our LORD and Savior, JESUS
Christ. A European, African, or
Asian might well disagree with
the advice of someone of a
“higher authority”, and rebel.
But, they do not balk against
that authority just for the sake
of rebelling...as we do.

The cry of the American
Revolution was, “No king but
King JESUS!”. It is reported
that a lady asked Benjamin
Franklin as he emerged from
Independence Hall after the
Constitution was adopted,

“What kind od a government
did you give us?” His reply: “A
republic, ma’am...for as long
as you can keep it.”

Since those days, we have
drifted away from having
JESUS to be our King. The
Bible, in the book of Judges,
twice states, “In those days,
there was no king in Israel and
everyone did that which was
right in their own eyes.” The
days of Moses and the Exodus
had long gone and the people
—like us since the American
Revolution—had walked away
from their GOD and King. Just
like us, they also enjoyed self-
rule...for a time.

But, by the time we get to
Chapter 8 of the book of First
Samuel, we find that they had
degenerated to the point of
wanting to be like everyone
else around them. And so,

they cried to Samuel to be
allowed to select a king to fight
their battles, feed them, and
rule over them. He took their
case to GOD, who said to let
them have their foolish way.
We now have a ruling class.

So, my fellow brother or
sister in Christ...are you
graciously submitting to
those
who you, by your act of
accepting JESUS as your
LORD and Savior, have placed
in authority over you? Or, are
you being a rebel just for
rebel’s sake?
Do you balk
when the preacher says that
you should dress modestly?
How dare he tell me how to
adorn my body! What about
tithing? How dare he tell me
how to manage my money!
What should be my kids’
activities? How dare he tell me
how to raise my children!

I'm not a Christian, how do I
become one?
