Quick-Start 5 Steps To Personal Revival

Do the following...and YOU will be well on YOUR way to seeing GOD send revival into your life, and the lives of those you love, hate, work with, go to church with, and with whom you share this country:

  1. Quit gawking at everyone else’s sins and shortcomings--start looking at your own sins and shortcomings (Matthew 7:3‑5)! Romans 14:4 (NIV) says, “Who are you to judge someone else’s servant? To their own master, servants stand or fall.”

  2. Admit that YOU need revival. Unless your relationship with GOD is perfect (I assure you, it’s not)...you need revival. I need revival, too.

  3. Start praying (more). Ask GOD to help YOU to attain revival. Ask Him for revival for your family, friends, enemies, church, co-workers, community, and country. Ask GOD to show you where you need to change. Be sure your prayer time includes time to just listen. If you’re not praying for at least a half-hour each day (on average)—you’re really not interested in revival...quit kidding yourself! Don’t just ask once...keep asking (Luke 18:1-8)—day after day after day until you see it. Leave the radio /TV/music off as you pray...

  4. Start reading your Bible (more). If you’re not reading GOD’s Word for at least a half-hour each day (on average)—you’re really not interested in revival...quit deceiving yourself! Be sure to actually read it Genesis 1:1 to Revelation 22:21 (cover-to-cover). If you read an average of three chapters a day...it’ll take right at one year.

  5. Because YOU are asking GOD to help YOU...He most certainly will. As GOD lays on YOU things that He wants YOU to change about how YOU think and act...do so! As YOU do what GOD tells YOU to do...hearken back to step (1) and remember to just take care of “Number One”—and let GOD take care of the rest of His servants.
There you have it...personal revival in five [not so] easy steps! In Isaiah 38:1-6, GOD told King Hezekiah, “Put your house in order, because you are going to die.” Hezekiah did...and GOD relented—and saved the kingdom, too. If each of us who call ourselves a Christian would just do these five simple steps...GOD, as with Hezekiah, would be more than pleased to send revival to each of us—and to our land.
